Mantic Point and Air New Zealand Buddy Up
Innovative mobile travel service provider, Mantic Point, adds Air New Zealand to its growing list of clients.
Mantic Point, who provides personalised travel and destination assistance to subscribers using a mobile phone, has joined forces with Air New Zealand to launch the free Boarding Buddy service.
Mantic Point's white-label mobile solution, StreamThru, allows Air New Zealand to enhance customer service and provide passengers with up-to-the-minute, personalised flight alerts direct to their mobile phone through SMS.
Part owned by Rolls Royce, Leeds-based Mantic Point is the only key player to provide a service that is personalised, context-aware and multi-channelled.
The Boarding Buddy service is currently available for Air New Zealand flights leaving London Heathrow for customers who have booked their flights via the Air New Zealand UK website www.airnewzealand.co.uk. The aim is to roll out the service to all Air New Zealand UK bookings for flights departing from Heathrow later this year.
Passengers who sign up for the free service will receive text messages on the day they fly providing them with flight information, check-in opening times and location and also delay notifications.
In addition, passengers will receive up to two targeted text messages offering exclusive retail discount vouchers for use at London Heathrow Terminal 1.
Finally, passengers will receive a reminder to head to the departure gate when it is time to board.
Mantic Point recruits all of the carefully selected advertisers and it has the only advertising platform designed specifically to target travellers when they are on the move.
