How does StreamThru work?

Passengers are invited to join StreamThru when they book a flight with a participating airline. They opt-in to receive flight updates, reminders, and special offers on their departure day.

StreamThru uses SMS text messages to send information to a passenger's mobile phone. Using pure SMS or "WAP Push" you can create compelling calls to action for your campaigns (e.g. send a promotional voucher for your product that the passenger can redeem in an airport store, direct the passenger to a promotional video for your new product launch, invite the passenger to enter your new competition, etc).

For brand advertisers, StreamThru offers a unique opportunity to target passengers on their departure day, at a time when they are receptive to your message. This allows you to focus your airport marketing spend on those passengers who fit your target customer profile.

Communication can be targeted based on a passenger's:

  • Profile (e.g. gender, country of residence, geo-demographic grouping)
  • Journey (e.g. reason for travel, destination, airline, day part, day of week, etc)
  • Status (e.g. are they on-time, late, or early?)
  • Past behaviour (e.g. how did they respond to offers on previous journeys?)
